Standing in the garden this morning watching this big bumblebee fly from flower to flower. He suddenly flew up into the dead branches of a vine on my tree and disappeared. I wondered if he could possibly have some kind of hive there. Over an hour later, I got the stepstool and found him, apparently sound asleep, in a little nook in the vine! Do bees sleep?? In odd places in the middle of the day??
